Nigerian Music - Nigerian Music Hype – Igbokoyi Obafemi aka FPRYME

Brought up from the streets of Ibadan, IGBOKOYI OBAFEMI a. k. a FPRYME was known to have been a kid of a growing talent. Although, his parents didnt initially agree to his musical desire, but after listening to just two of his recorded singles, they had no choice but to let the young lad loose.

His first official song was done somewhere on the streets of SURULERE, but not until recording his now famous single titled WE NO SEND U produced by one of IB’s finest DX-SNIPE, nobody believed FPRYME could ever pull such a stunt. The song which was recorded on the popular ALL OF THE ABOVE SOUNDTRACK, originally owned by JEREMAINE COLEMAN a. k. a MAINO featuring the famous autotune singer FAHEEM RASHEED NAJM a. k. a T-PAIN, which gave FPRYME the nickname ”KRAZI KORUZ KILLA”, cos no one could ever have imagined that kind of justice being done to such a song again, especially with the naija flavour, punchlines and wordplay used in killing the song. There as being lots of criticism and people tried to compare the song with other remix, like that of SKOOLBOI DAMPTE(with the popular hit-song WINE UR TINKOLO FEAT YQ), but after being judged by big producers, song writers and composers, and some music lovers on the street, everybody comfired FPRYMES’ one of the best there is. Also featuring some underground and upcoming rappers (VERB, JR, EL-FAROOQ) and also SMALL TALK, who later got his verse removed, due to production issues, who all did their own piece of justice to the track. FPRYME is simply sending a message to all Nigerian and foreign based rappers and singers, that what thay have just seen is just a mouth breeze, there’s still a very strong storm coming ahead. you wont need to be told. keep your eyes and ears wide open. . . keep you posted
