MTN has assured its customers that it will be on ground to add glamour to this year’s Olojo Festival scheduled to hold later this month. The company, which recently unveiled new value added offerings for its various market segments, will be using the platform as sponsor of the annual celebration to engage the public on the benefits available to them on the network. It will also reward some of its loyal customers during the festival.

General Manager, Consumer Marketing, MTN Nigeria, Kola Oyeyemi, who dropped the hint, has also reiterated the company’s commitment to the unique heritage of the people and promised that it would continue to support the interests and passions of its customers everywhere they reside in the country.

“MTN is proud to be associated with the positive aspects of our cultural heritage of which Olojo is unique. Our customers are key to our growth and we are committed to their interests and core passion,” he said.

According to him, the week-long celebration starts on Monday, October 18 during which the Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuade, Olubuse ll, will put on the Are Crown. According to tradition, the “Are Crown”, which is the symbol of the celebration, is donned by the Ooni only once in a year and that is during the celebration of Olojo.

Other activities of the week long festival include the festival lecture, Omidan Olojo Beauty Pageant, Ooni’s Royal Reception, Festival Concert and the Grand Finale Ceremony. The lecture will be dedicated to educating the people about cultural values and the enormous benefits of tourism to the country.

The MTN Community Connect team will enlighten the public on the brand’s value added offerings and also organise the festival raffle draw during which lots of MTN customers will be rewarded.
