SamDee Nigerian Music

SamDee, also know as Samuel Ojewale (aka Dare) was born in Osun State, Nigeria. SamDee graduated from Pearl Preparatory School and started his musical career as earlier as “JSS 1” in the halls of Ambassador’s College. His unique tenor voice made students gather around him at break time as he entertained them with music from Usher, Diddy, Joe, Tony Tetuila, Remedies and much more. There he was nicknamed Usher, Tony and Dierons by classmates

SamDee left Nigeria at SS1 and continued his education at Bloomingdale High School. “Back then I wrote rhymes in the school bus just for fun and to stay outta trouble.” Graduating from highschool, SamDee enrolled in Hillsborough Community College where he graduated with an associated degree. He continued making music during this time. SamDee got focused on making beats on Yamaha keyboards. He later thought of actually singing on the beats he made; this was a major entrance into the music world for him. SamDee kept most of his music to himself and friends at this time; it was not until 2008 that he started broadcasting himself on a higher level.

His first major broadcasted song was “I put on for my city Naija Remix feat. slashWisDom and Conphidance”. SamDee has collaborated in many songs after this. He has produced songs such as OMOGE SHAKARA, PARTY TIME, and his latest DEJAVU. SamDee considers himself as a rapper, singer, and a producer. “I believe in making music that speaks to me; it is easier to bring out my thoughts and idea when I produce my songs.” However, SamDee has chosen a different route from many other artists. He intends to only produce what he considers “Good Music.” “Coming from a religious family, I was raised with high level of morals, I do not intend to go against my belief. My fans will like me regardless of what I do, if I am able to do it right.

He is currently in the University of South Florida finishing up in biomedical science. The young producer intends to come out with more tracks in 2009 and plans on making an album by 2010.. The album is likely to be titled “IAmSamDee” the album is likely to reveal SamDee’s personality, beliefs and lifestyle. Watch for this young talent as he makes his way through the Nigerian music industry.
